Call to Action: Tell CBC what you think of NB’s pandemic response.
From the PoP BC Steering Committee
Our friends at PoP BC have issued an urgent call to action to insure the voices of advocates are not lost in the din of pro-Covid vitriol.
This Sunday’s edition of Cross Country Check-Up will ask listeners what they think of Canada’s pandemic response.
This week, CBC’s Ian Hanomansing got into some hot water by challenging Oxford-educated neuroscientist and public health advocate Amir Attaran to provide three examples of poor pandemic reporting by CBC, sarcastically adding “the links to stories online will be easy to find”. As it turned out, they were.
Now, Hanomansing is asking you to let him know how the pandemic has affected your faith in politicians and public health officials, Sunday from 1-3 PM PST.
We encourage you to do that! Call 1-888-416-8333 on Sunday, April 22, between 1 and 3 PM PST (it helps to be early!) You can also email your comments, or drop them on Twitter or Facebook. (Better yet, why not all three?)
Please consider visiting PoP BC and supporting their excellent work.
