Canadian Long COVID Virtual Healthcare Study - National Public Survey
Researchers and patient-partners at Long COVID Web have launched a new study on improving access to virtual healthcare for longhaulers, and invite you to fill out their self-paced survey.
Individuals at Simon Fraser University and the Post-COVID-19 Interdisciplinary Clinical Care Network are leading an exciting new study funded by Long COVID Web that seeks to help Long COVID patients in Canada.
The aim is to conduct a national inquiry grounded in an intersectionality-based approach to learn of experiences of longhaulers with virtual healthcare, especially among equity-deserving groups. In the years to come, our healthcare systems and institutions must adapt in accommodating more longhaulers seeking care–especially when much of this care is increasingly telehealth-based.
The study leaders are asking the Long COVID community to assist in their efforts by completing their self-paced national survey. The survey (available in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Punjabi) is open to any self-identified Long COVID patient residing in Canada that is sixteen years of age or older, and will remain open until July 1.
The survey is the first step in the project in providing recommendations for the uptake of virtual care delivery and improving its quality of care. The next phases include focus groups, a deliberative dialogue, and results summarized through various outputs such as a national guidebook, infographics, and an academic paper.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the voices of New Brunswickers impacted by Long COVID to be heard.
