Public Discussion on Covid-19 in Atlantic Canada
Please register for this virtual, open discussion with Dr. Moriarty on the current situation, data and social aspects of the pandemic in the Atlantic provinces.
PoP NB, in conjunction with advocacy groups from Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, is pleased to be hosting a roundtable discussion on Covid-19 in the Atlantic provinces featuring Dr. Tara Moriarty on Monday, June 27 at 8pm ADT.
The discussion will focus on existing and modelled Covid-19 case data, long covid, reported and excess death, as well as other topics relative to the pandemic in the Atlantic provinces. Journalists and the public will have the opportunity to ask questions or pose discussion topics regarding the science and social aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Moriarty is an associate professor and infectious disease researcher at the University of Toronto. She has been dedicated to providing Canadians with accurate, science-based information on the Covid-19 pandemic through her work with COVID 19 Resources Canada, a Public Health Agency of Canada funded research group which uses validated data sources and analysis methods. Dr. Moriarty is bilingual and will be able to take questions and discuss concepts in both French and English.
